Meet Massiel Hernandez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Massiel Hernandez.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m a Latinx Actress/film producer/ Plus Size model — my hometown in Jersey City, NJ. From an early age, I’ve actively participated in school and local theater productions. I was painfully shy but my second-grade Teacher, Mrs. Torres saw potential.

From my first time on stage, I Absolutely loved it. I really couldn’t get enough of it. My acting training was in NYC at the well respected, HB Studios. In 2016, I decided to take a leap of faith & moved to Los Angeles to pursue a film & television career. This decision has been one the best I’ve ever made. I love being a bi-coastal artist.

Has it been a smooth road?
In the beginning, I wasn’t sure what direction I wanted my career to go. Moving to Los Angeles meant I would have to start over. I had a few struggles adjust to LA, but I’ve grown to really love it here.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
I’m a plus size Latinx actress/ Model/ Film Producer. I’m enjoying my career. Its been such a joy & I really enjoy being able to pursue my passion. For me, everyday is an adventure. Yes, I do have a unique style & look, but I’ve grown to accept my differences. I love being me!

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The Plus Size industry is growing in leaps and bounds as well as inclusion for Latin actors. I see a bigger and brighter future for both industries.
