Amanda Terry (aka) Makeup Mandi —AS SEEN ON LIFETIME’S “AMERICAN BEAUTY STAR” is a talented celebrity makeup artist who has a huge passion for making people look and feel good about themselves.
Finding her love for makeup at a young age, like every little girl, Mandi would do her Mom’s hair and makeup. Around the age of thirteen, she took Drama class which opened up her eyes and imagination to special effects makeup. This is where she really started to see the other side and opportunities of the makeup industry. Her interest in makeup continued throughout her teenage years. It was not until her mid-twenties that she started to research schools.
After enrolling, she went full force, did not look back and worked three jobs to pay her tuition! Being a certified beauty makeup artist, she then enrolled in yet another course. It was now time to get certified in special effects, which is her TRUE passion. Never did she imagine that she could make this a reality or an actual career! She is now a successful and experienced Mua/Hairstylist working with agency models, established actors, musicians, athletes, and the list goes on.

Mandi is honest, reliable and loyal. She has done many weddings, photo shoots, fashion shows, short/feature films, music videos, commercials much more. She resides in Los Angeles, CA and is open to travel within the U.S. and Internationally.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, of course not. Nothing comes easy in life… especially in LA and the entertainment industry. I have been told no numerous times, shed many of tears, BUT I continued to push on. My passion is greater than anyone’s opinion of me! Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you aren’t good enough. YOU DEFINE YOU! Only compete with yourself!!!

Professional Makeup artist. I do hair special effects, airbrush, face/body painting and more. I work for TV, film, fashion shows, photo shoots, you name it… I do it!
I am most proud of how far I have come. I have been in the industry for about six years now and have accomplished goals that many people will not or have not experienced.
What sets me apart from others is my passion, drive, personality, and compassion for others.
