Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristel David.
Kristel, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
The Fox Project was born from a place of self-discovery in a dark time of my life where from the outside looking in I had it all. The perfect marriage, healthy-happy children and businesses that brought me fulfillment, allowed me to stay home with my kids and contribute financially.
I would constantly be asked “how do you do it?” At first I would be caught off guard and feel like a fraud because behind the scenes I was an overworked entrepreneur trying to make it but nothing really coming from it and because I was always working I was failing on the home front and not being present and connected with my husband or my kids. I was wondering how people do it too.
It was also in this dark place that I did deep soul searching and healing and this path to self-love and identity outside of my roles led me to my superpower and the formula that transformed my life and I have been teaching it to women while practicing it myself ever since.
The Fox Project community is a safe place for growth, healing, transformation, accountability, goal setting, connection, love and joy!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I believe the beauty of life comes from the struggle. After all, how can we know light without darkness?
One of the things I want to teach as many people as possible is that without failure there is no fulfillment.
The human spirit needs three things: survival, growth and contribution. Most people stay stuck in survival mode. But life gets sweet when we fail forward, get uncomfortable, try new things, trust, step out on blind faith and risk it all that we find a sense of peace and joy amidst the “struggle.” We thrive in the moments of becoming and realizing just how powerful we are!
For me to address the struggles I’d be telling you my life story. There is always an obstacle to overcome. Some of the major pain points I have faced are:
Being an entrepreneur for over ten years and barely now feeling like I’m starting to get in a groove. That is discouraging but thank God for the stats that most businesses take 10+ years to thrive, it has kept me in the game. That and my genuine desire to serve and I’d be doing this work no matter what.
I have struggled to be a present mother when I love creating so much in the world. Having five kids and wanting to maintain my dreams and goals has been a huge challenge. I have had to realize I only have my young kids for a season of my life so while I love to pour into my visions and goals I get to be present for them. Learning to ask for help and “balance” where I spend my time took a lot of trial and error to find a place that works for us. My kids have each taught me so much about myself and they challenge me very day.
My relationship with my husband has been my greatest gift and so rewarding yet it has been one of my greatest challenges. Learning to love myself so I can be loved and love fully is something I am working on daily. My relationship has been my biggest teacher and the biggest reason for my growth and therefore one of my favorite struggles and yet it has been so fulfilling.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am most proud of my company for being a stand for people re-claiming and discovering their unique gifts and superpowers, being self-aware, responsible, abundant, loving and authentic in a world where we are wrapped up in comparison, fear, autopilot lifestyles, scarcity and inauthenticity.
Through The Fox Project Community we teach women tools to live their best life and turn their dreams into reality! We have live events, online content, programs and mentoring!
What sets us apart is that most people who work with us in our programs are very surprised by the content and exercises we cover. It is like nothing they have ever done before. Only 4% of the world does transformation work so what we are up to in the world is powerful, impactful and out of the norm!
We are the change we wish to see in the world.
What were you like growing up?
I was the oldest sibling in my household so growing up, I was the bossy one. I have always been the one to take charge, organize a group or event and rally people behind an idea. I also had a shy side. I have always loved to eat and talk. Two things I did a lot of and still do!
I have always been family-focused and mission-driven. While I think and dream big, I consider myself to live and desire the simple things in life, family, fun and freedom.
I have always had a ton of friends because I love getting to know people and seeing how our similarities and differences can come together and create magic!
