Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim O’Neill.
Kim, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve had a passion for helping people since I was a teenager and for many years, thought I was going to be a Marriage Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor or something along those lines (in addition to being an actress). When the traditional career paths didn’t seem to be working for me, though, I started volunteering as a youth mentor in 2011 with Operation Jump Start (in Long Beach, CA). I then moved on to do interview coaching for job-seekers but that was really just scratching the surface of how I really wanted to serve people. I now do more personal coaching to support my clients in gaining more courage, confidence and clarity in knowing how amazing they already are, which often includes some degree of helping them to also heal, release and reframe their past so they can move forward.
When I was in the process of getting my first professional coach certification, my path led me towards learning more about spirituality, metaphysics and healing that I hadn’t anticipated but am so grateful for. Today, I have two coach certifications (ICF and Law of Attraction); I am a certified Reiki Master Practitioner; host the “Every Day is a New Day” show on BBSRadio.com and on Facebook Live; I’m an Amazon Bestselling co-author; and I’m a former crime analyst who incorporates both practical and metaphysical components into the coaching work I do with clients. In 2018, I’m doing more public speaking and am incredibly excited for what is manifesting in my life.
How did I get to where I am today? By staying committed to my purpose of serving others; learning to hear and trust my intuition; and learning how to decipher and work with my emotions and the energy around me.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Heck No! One of the biggest challenges I didn’t anticipate is that some people weren’t happy for me as I became happier in my own life. I never saw that coming and while it saddened me a lot, I came to learn it’s rather common. As I started to put myself out there more, part of me wanted to just run and hide (and sometimes I did!), especially knowing that who I thought was my support system ended up dissolving. I had to learn to move beyond that, find ways to support myself more, connect with new people who were happy to also support me and stay focused on my goals.
Additionally, there’s also the whole part about learning how to run a business that I didn’t realize I signed up for when I decided I wanted to be a coach, etc. Working a full time day job while also doing my coaching/energy work/show hosting on the side was a bit draining but always worth it.
Learning how to be confident and grounded amidst judgments from other people, how to support and love myself more and how to connect with a new supportive tribe were all key for me in feeling safer about putting myself out there more.
Please tell us about Kim O’Neill Coaching & Every Day is a New Day Show.
Most people know me as the host of my podcast/internet radio show “Every Day is a New Day,” while others still think of me as an Interview Coach (since that’s how I started coaching in 2013). While I still do job interview coaching, my primary love is doing 1-on-1 and group personal coaching. I work with youth, job-seekers, spiritual entrepreneurs and more to support them in gaining more courage, confidence and clarity to say yes to themselves, heal their past, move forward and know how amazing they already are.
What sets me apart from others is the unique combination of my background with what I do today. I’m a former Crime Analyst who is also a Certified ICF and Law of Attraction Coach, Reiki Master Practitioner and more. Some of my clients are scared to embrace their spiritual identity; get overwhelmed by the energy around them; or don’t know how to move beyond past hurts that are getting in the way of them manifesting their abundant future. I know what it’s like to go from being completely in my head, to finding more balance between my head and heart. I am honored when a client allows me to provide a safe space for them to be vulnerable and to guide them through their journey so they can accomplish the goals they set for themselves.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Playing poker and eating pizza with my Grandpa when I was 8 or 9 and when my mom took me to Disneyland for the day instead of school.

Kim O’Neill is one of the most intriging heart centered coaches I have the honor to know. It amazes me all that she has accomplished in her business, yet she gives so much to those in her life. Kim makes a difference in this world everyday. Whether she is spending time with a mentee, a friend, a client, hosting her show, or creating a new workshop, she makes it look so easy. When Kim is giving you her time she is 100% present and I believe that is just one reason she is an incredible coach!
