Meet Khadijah RBz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Khadijah RBz.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Khadijah. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started meditating as a means to manage stress. My job, at the time, was very demanding and I was internalizing emotions, discomforts, and feelings instead of processing them and letting them go. This contributed to my blood pressure being elevated and my doctor advising I needed to reduce my stress factors or meds would be the next option. I began to explore various modalities for stress management and relief such as Tai Chi, meditation, intentional breath-work, yoga, and running — all of which became staples in my everyday life.

Practicing meditation continues to be SUPER essential to my life. The benefits I have reaped as a result of consistent practice and continued education have been numerous. And realizing there are so many people experiencing stress, pent-up emotions and just the busyness of life I wanted to share simple techniques that support the discovery of inner stillness which transcends to external peace. Meditation has been known to: relieve stress, increase cognitive skills and creative thinking, enhance awareness, improve the flow of energy, decrease worry, bring the mind, body, and spirit into harmony, and even support a closer relationship with God (to name a few). I want others to reap these benefits and to know that meditation is not a spooky weird ritual.

As a meditation guide I take my clients through an experience that supports calm, focus and relaxation. Encountering inner peace, listening to the voice within, and feeling a sense of stillness are noted comments shared by those who have had the pleasure of my guided meditations. In addition, I conduct workshops; facilitate retreats; provide wellness and meditation support, information and guidance at conferences, colleges, churches, corporations, and non-profit organizations. I am your ultimate plant-based and wellness bff.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In life we deal with various challenges and it was a challenge that introduced me to the beauty of meditation (and for that I am grateful).

I think one of the biggest challenges about the space I am in (wellness) is I want everyone to be well — to know the peace within them. I would love to repeatedly hear stories of others discovering the beauty of stillness BUT so many people are dealing with their own blocks and often just want a quick fix. Hence, the challenge.

The awesome thing for me is coaching them through the process, reminding them of their value, and supporting them as they “breathe through it.”

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
As a meditation guide I take my clients through an experience that reinforces calm, relaxation and focus. My role as wellness advocate allows me to journey with them as we create intentions and practices that support well-BEing — mind, body, and spirit. I show up in the space we share as one who supports, holds you accountable, and wants to see you win! I understand the vicissitudes of LIFE and the importance of a caring support system, so I arrive on the scene as your ultimate plant-based bff and we put in the work together.

Plant-based bff = I am plant-based and offer plant-based solutions / BFF = I provide a comfortable and safe space for growth and healing, as a friend would (or should). My services include: meditation guidance, life change support, behavior and thought modification work, and goal-setting.

I graduated from William Peace University in Raleigh, NC with a degree in psychology.

I have a podcast: DECLARE IT with Khadijah RBz. This platform is used to share the importance of our words and thoughts and how they shape our reality. We have guests share their stories of perseverance, growth, and overcoming.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I plan to continue to expand my reach. There are people who need to hear my voice and know that is okay.
