Meet Kevan Hall of Kevan Hall Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevan Hall.

Detroit-born Kevan Hall’s fashion creativity emerged early. By the age of 7, he knew he wanted to be a fashion designer. His earliest fashion influence was his stylish mother who dressed in designer clothes from the finest shops. Watching The Supremes and other Motown girl bands on The Ed Sullivan Show started his sketching and imagination for design. After studying fashion in LA, he launched his own business in 1982. In 1997, he accepted the Design and Creative Director post at Halston in NYC where he revived the dormant brand to its former glory. In 2002, he returned to LA to start his own signature collection with a fashion philosophy that emphasizes purity of style, incomparable tailoring and sensuously draped silhouettes.

In 2002, Hall won the 47th Annual Gold Coast Fashion Award in Chicago as “Designer of the Year”. In 2005, Hall was awarded “Stylemaker of the Year” by Life & Style Magazine for his ‘drop-dead glamour’ as seen on the red carpet worn by Vanessa Williams, Virginia Madsen, Katherine Heigl, Debra Messing, Edie Falco and later Ms. Ruby Dee for her 2008 Oscar nomination and Gabourey Sidibe for her 2010 Golden Globe nod. Felicity Huffman won “Best Actress in a Comedy Series” at the 2005 Emmy’s wearing his rouge silk gown with Swarovski crystal accents. He continues to dress a coterie of fashionable trendsetters from Yara Shahidi, Sandra Oh to Michelle Obama.

“I enjoy the process of design from concept to execution,” he states. “But the most gratifying part is seeing a design come to life on a beautiful woman.”

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Every fashion designer faces challenges in this industry from the ever-changing whims of the consumer to the ups and downs of the retail environment. One doesn’t realize how many hands a garment has to go through before it lands in the store and anything can go wrong at any turn.

The challenge is to maintain the integrity of your design from the original concept to the final production where it will be sold to a discerning clientele.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Kevan Hall Company – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Kevan Hall Company specializes in designer women’s apparel to include smart-looking separates, chic day dresses, beautiful cocktail dresses and glamorous evening wear for special occasions. Kevan Hall fashions are often seen on the Red Carpet as well as being the go-to brand for modern mothers of brides and grooms.

We are most proud that we have stood the test of time and now dress the next generation of chic, stylish women. Clients fly in from all over the world to shop the latest collections and work with Mr. Hall and his staff. Our clientele appreciates the one on one attention and personal service.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our future plans include a Kevan Hall Home Collection. This collection of luxurious bedding includes sheets, shams, duvet covers, pillows and towels in the finest quality.

We look forward to continue building our company in to a luxury lifestyle brand.
