Meet Kelly George of My Little Princess Parties

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly George.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kelly. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My Little Princess Parties started in the UK back in 2008. We have grown to be the biggest Children’s Entertaining company in the UK with over 5000 parties and we now have over 50 entertainers. We have been featured on TV programs including Dragons Den.

February 2016 we set up My Little Princess Parties in New York and in December 2016 we trained up our first princesses in California. We currently have 3 princesses in LA and plan on training more in the next month.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have had the usual struggles that any business has.

We have had a few princesses leave to set up rival companies and some of them were good friends. But that’s one of the main reasons why we have franchised the business in the UK as we now have a great platform for any of our entertainers to now run their own My Little Princess business.

When we received a letter from Disney was probably our scariest struggle! But they were very good and we have a good relationship with them. There are set rules we need to follow but that first letter we received from them was very scary.

Very occasionally we have a Princess Drama, where a Princess is seriously ill. But luckily we have built a fantastic team who always go out of their way to cover someone and in over 8 years we have never let anyone down at a party.

My Little Princess Parties – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a children’s entertaining company that specializes in providing character entertainers for children’s birthday parties. We provide all the children’s favorite princesses, princes, pirates and superheroes and play lots of games that the children already know but they are always themed to the party. Our parties also include music, singing, dancing, balloon modelling, prizes and of course a sprinkling of fairy dust.

We pride ourselves on offering the very best looking entertainers but we also provide the very highest standard training and only take on the very best entertainers.

We also have availability and booking software that makes sure we only book entertainers who are 100% free. One of the main reasons why we never let customers down.

We are extremely proud of My Little Princess Parties for so many reasons. The key to our job is our amazing team of princesses and we are very proud to now have over 60 of them worldwide. We now have 8 franchises in the UK and we eventually plan on franchising the business in the US. We have over 22000 likes on our UK Facebook and hope to get even more in the US over the next few years. The very best bit of the job is seeing all of the thank you’s and 5 star reviews we receive on a Monday morning.

What sets us apart from other companies is that we really care about every single party. We have the very highest standards and would never let a little princess down on her birthday, like so many of our rivals do every weekend. Also because we have so many entertainers we can always make sure if there are any problems we have enough entertainers to cover any situation.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
It’s hard to pin point one particular moment. Selling 8 Franchises makes us extremely proud as people are buying into your business which you have worked so hard to grow. But every time you get a thank you or 5 star review it still makes your extremely proud. And seeing the photos of the happy princess or superhero on their birthday will never stop making us smile.
