Today we’d like to introduce you to Katherine Theofilos Claster.
Katherine, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
We started from a void. Tirelessly finding it difficult to work with reliable manufacturers, vendors, production managers, etc that delivered anything close to the garments expected in a timely manner. From a state of lots of frustration, wasted resources and not perfect product, we decided to start running our own production–diving into the process and understanding its ebb and flow.
Organically, we begin to consult and assist in other production, and within that, we created Lunch Money, an agency that seeks to help conceptualize, develop, and produce design-specific garments and accessories.
Love the name and helping people navigate the complexities of the industry is definitely needed. Has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have found that there is a lot of business in our business, investing in clothing brands is popular and lucrative at the moment… the problem is or rather our constant struggle is deciding who to work with.
Really trying to align with those who strongly believe in the ethos of their project and simultaneously respect our process.

Lunch Money specializes in concept and development. When both those processes are strong on a fundamental level, your foundation is solid. Building from there, i.e. production, second collections, is easier. We have an atelier style shop in which we really dive into well-fitting garments and quality, technical construction; focusing on building items that last and not contributing to the saturated market of fast and disposable. Our attention to detail, specifics and timely output set us apart. Aside from garments, our Jewelry division also creates with the same ideology and workflow.
