Meet Katharina Baron of House of Baron in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katharina Baron.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I studied journalism at the grand école CELSA that is part of Sorbonne in Paris and got an MBA at Freie University in Berlin and then my book on tv journalism and science got published.

My first job was as a producer/director for French TV documentaries on nature. I was also on the other side of the lens and interviewed everyone from Karl Lagerfeld to Stella McCartney as a correspondent for Oyster Magazine and acted in movies and TV shows.

I worked in advertising and for PR agencies in Paris, where I eventually started my own business. I became the partner agency of Swarovski and started directing producing and writing their digital content for their online magazines, blogs to YouTube Channel.

Clients like Stylebop, Mercedes, VW, and CondéNast followed. I was working on digital content strategy from concept to finish. Over the years wrote, produced and directed a lot of the content, films, and commercials as well as being a creative director.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like every entrepreneur you have your ups and downs, clients that are sometimes very demanding, you work long hours, etc. but I choose to do what I love as a profession which is telling stories, so that makes it much easier to stay motivated and pull through challenging times. I think my friends keep me grounded.

Please tell us about the House of Baron.
I believe that every brand should be human, tell stories that empower people and be more like a media house. House of Baron is a boutique PR and creative agency, merging the needs of today with refined aesthetics, intelligence, and compelling storytelling.

Where art, fashion, and entertainment meet to make brands stand out in any network and context. I produce and direct video content, but I also do content strategy and creative direction. And beyond all, we believe that creativity should always be used for good. We empower women, diversity, and encourage our clients to create meaningful content.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Running down a Green Hill towards a lake in forests on vacation in Poland in Mazuren the part of the 1000 lakes and forests.
