Today we’d like to introduce you to Karlet Reid.

Karlet, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Wearing the brightest red lipstick I could find, full of ideas, ambition and ready to take the world by storm. I found myself smack dab in the middle of New York City with a mediocre business plan, my computer and unwavering faith prepared for the unknown.

After serving as the “go-to” person in the C-suite for 13+ in corporate America, I resigned from the desk spring 2019…and that’s exactly what I did. I set out to set the world on fire.

I am the founder of boutique management consulting agency, The Purpoint Group, I spend most of my days pointing people in the right direction and finding solutions to the problems most people try to avoid in business.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Far from smooth. Who has a smooth path anyway? I’ve been told ‘No” more times than I’d like to admit. I sent out endless pitch letters and proposals than I cared to write, but that has never stopped me from working towards my goals to build my agency. The biggest struggle I’ve endured along my journey is finding good talent to help me drive the mission forward.

People get excited about joining the team initially. They want to help. They want the rewards and then when we’re in the thick of things they get discouraged and quit. This business, management consulting is not for everyone. It lacks the sexy initially. There’s real work required to represent my clients the way I do. You have to have tenacity, endurance, and most importantly faith in the assignment to pick up the pieces every day and begin again.

I am the founder of boutique management consulting agency, The Purpoint Group.

Specializing in business development, strategy and design, I help my clients create sustainability and profitability within the marketplace by uncovering the gaps in their business processes and implementing innovative strategies to amplify their brands.

I act as an extended team member to my clients. With a passion for excellence and client service, I make the vital connections required to get my clients to the forefront within the marketplace, and in front of the people, they want to meet or connect with so they can work smarter and not harder.

Known for being able to take any problem and create a solution to improve overall performance of a product or service and identify additional business development opportunities to expand the mission and vision. I’m most proud of the diverse clientele and solutions I offer my clients, ranging from Artists, Non-profits, Coaches, Consultants, and Personal brands are just a few in my portfolio.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My success is directly tied to my faith in God. My faith is what pushes me continuously, without question. I am nothing without praying and fasting.
