Today we’d like to introduce you to Karl Slovin.
Karl, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Started in 1991 in New York City, MWest Holdings has become the premier fully-integrated boutique owner/operator real estate firm in Los Angeles. We specialize in renovating and preserving 1920’s era apartment buildings, making them exciting for today’s renter, while maintaining the unique character of each building and location. Our properties outperform the market because of our deep care and attention to the details. We still operate in four states but our focus in Los Angeles.
Has it been a smooth road?
As we have grown rapidly finding staff who can grow with us has been a challenge. Our office is fast paced and great attention to detail is demanded of all of our associates. We take our business seriously and expect our coworkers to do the same.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I know that Los Angeles will continue to be a magnet for creative people from all over the world who are looking for spaces to live which reflect their personalities. As LA grows we will keep pace and supply some of the most authentic housing available.
