Meet Joe Vidito of Aqua Tech Pools

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe Vidito.

Joe, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I first entered into the pool industry in August of 2008. At that time I was involved in network marketing, Audio video, retail clothing and I was a personal trainer.

Needless to say, I was doing everything I could to make a living. After my hours at the AV job and retail job were cut and my clients no longer wanting training, I decided I needed to search for something new. A family friend had recently moved to Orange County and started a pool business. I called him and asked if he needed help to which he obliged.

After a few days of riding along with him. I realized the opportunity this industry provided and began to poor everything I had into it. Even in the midst of the recession, we were growing and pushing hard. We began to bring on more people and experienced record breaking growth. Everything was good in my world. I got married, had a son, started a business and felt success; however, in august of 2014 my partner and I had some disagreements which ultimately lead to an abrupt end to our relationship and the success of that entity. We parted ways and I was left to start over. Once again, I poured all I had into my business, only this time I had a stay at home wife and son that depended on me. All day and night including weekends I worked hard to re-create what I had once built. With little reservation and pure desperation, I took on everything I could get my hands on. No matter how big or small the job I did it, all the while focusing on making my product and my knowledge second to none. I was obsessed with succeeding. Failure was not an option. Fast forward 3 years and the same determination and desire to be the best at what is in front of us, has manifested itself into a great company that is expanding into new territories, providing jobs for great people and delivering the highest level of quality in the industry. I am blessed to be a part of it and can’t wait to see how many people’s lives we can change.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, as stated, we had a pretty big split with a dear friend. That was by far one of the most difficult and chastening experiences I had ever walked through. I am grateful however, for the lessons I learned from that.

Aqua Tech Pools – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My company is a full-service pool company. We provide pool service, repairs, upgrades and remodels. We specialize in pool automation and high-end equipment.

We work on some of the most complicated systems in the industry which most of our competitors won’t touch. We are known for getting things done. we don’t like to mess around. we get in, get done, and get out. I am most proud of the positive impact this company has had on its people. It is my goal that anyone who comes to work for us, weather they stay or leave, is a better person as a result of working here. I love to see people’s lives changed for the better. This company is unique because it offers anyone who is willing to work, the opportunity to create something of their own. To build a legacy of their choosing they need only want it and be willing to take it.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Wealth. Wealth of wisdom; Wealth of relationships; Wealth of positive impact of my community. If I am able to make a difference in the lives of all I come into contact with… that is success.
