Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Headey Gandolfi.
Jessica, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My story is one of empowerment and healing through pain. I’m originally from the UK, and my story started as I entered 9th Grade back in London. I was slightly awkward and a little chubby, like most kids, all I wanted to do was fit in. One day while being made fun of by a group of kids, things escalated, and out of nowhere, some girl punched me in the face, I didn’t see it coming. I dropped… all I remember was the roar of laughter from what seemed like every kid there as I crumbled to the floor.
For many years I allowed these events to define me.
I thought that if I could run from them, I could forget about them. Sadly that’s not how it works. No matter where I travelled to in the world, it didn’t actually get any easier, the addictions, abuse, numbing and escapist behaviors had taken over and become all-consuming. Once I was in that cycle, it became my reality and how I identified with the world. I lived for over 20 years with an aggressive eating disorder, allowed myself to become a victim of physically and emotionally abusive relationships, dealt with the aftermath of an incredibly painful divorce and the resulting depression.
When I realized running from the pain had become my purpose, I had to make a decision to stop and ask for help. Vulnerability is the biggest key to healing and yet ego and shame stopped me from opening up. I needed to heal myself. The pain had made me strong, the sadness led to forgiveness and ultimately I was able to turn my challenges into my gift.
Looking back, I now see my journey as a blessing. Without it, I wouldn’t have become the person I am today; a facilitator who allows people who have had similar experiences, to embrace their own pathway to healing.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Living in London is such a different beast to that of living in Los Angeles when it comes to healing and living consciously.
There is no truer saying than that of the ‘stiff upper lip’ when it comes to being British. It’s bred into us that we must remain stoic and unemotional in the face of challenge and adversity and so quite honestly, asking for help really has been one of the biggest challenges and struggles I’ve had to face.
When I moved to LA I went through some of the darkest times of my life without close friends and family for support. It challenged me and forced me to search for alternatives.
It has been incredibly refreshing and healing to be in a city where we are encouraged and applauded for embracing our vulnerability and our emotional issues so that we can move on to live a better, healthier and more productive life.
Please tell us more about your work.
I specialize in helping people break through their self-sabotaging patterns and their addictions so they can heal at an intense level. By committing to my individually curated ‘Eight Weeks To Freedom’ healing program incorporating Harmonyum, my clients are able to kick start that process producing profound results.
My clients are investing in a result… their freedom. Nothing lights me up more than being able to guide them to that. Trauma manifests in so many physical ways: stress, anxiety, addiction, burn out, feelings of loneliness and emptiness and consequently, we are seeing a rise in the level of suicide.
We happily invest in our physical bodies to create a fitter, healthier, sexier, version of ourselves but we neglect our emotional bodies. Without a combination of the two, it’s impossible to be balanced in every area of our lives.
We need to be looking at the big picture, which ultimately translates into how we want to feel, not just now, but every day in the future. That feeling is moving forward into living a full and positive life.
Harmonyum activates and supports the body’s capacity to renew and heal itself by recalibrating and restoring the health of the nervous system and addressing trauma at root level, producing profound and highly effective results.
I work with a diverse range of clients: Actors, athletes, business execs and entrepreneurs, through to students and parents, each with their own story. Every trauma, every client, every level of pain is different yet every goal is the same: improved drive, clarity, focus and peace in all aspects of their businesses and lives.
Incorporating Harmonyum into my eight-week intensive healing program is the key to achieving successful and lasting results for my clients.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Teresa Coltrin, for introducing me to Dr. Joseph Michael Levry, the founder of the Harmonyum Healing System. Absolutely life-changing.
Lori and Chris Harder, for encouraging and supporting my self and business development. Brooks Hollan, for pushing me; an amazing coach, wealth of knowledge and support. Of course, all of my clients. Eternal gratitude.
