Meet Jasmine Newkirk of JTB Beauty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Newkirk.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jasmine. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Feb 2018! Right after graduating high school a semester early and struggling to find a stable job in a small town rural area. I took a leap of faith and started a beauty brand (focused on selling lip gloss) with the last $200 I had. I had no plan and no idea on how to start a business it was all based on FAITH! Day after day, I would wake up ready to learn something new about business. My first two months were trial and error but I didn’t give up!

May 2018! The month my business went viral! I collaborated with influencers who helped my business take off expeditiously. Who knew that I would be making well over 3k in one day? or better yet consistent 1k weeks? Simply by posting pictures of things that I sell online? That was a lot for a 17/18 yr old girl just getting out of high school with $0 in her account.

Fast-forwarding to now, 2020! My brand JTB Beauty has expanded and focuses on selling trendy/unique lip glosses, oils, and loose pigment highlighters in bulk to smaller beauty brands and I have a grand time doing it! Did I mention this is all hand-made? Reading the amazing reviews I receive from clients and hearing about the amazing reviews they receive from their customers simply makes my heart happy! After all, My motto is to help people, help people because blessed people, blessed people.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Absolutely not! I’ve struggled with: Marketing my products to the right audience. Selling products, nobody really likes. Going months without getting a sell. Having no money to pay for influencers so I had to send free products instead. Sending influencers free products and in return, they don’t post causing me to lose out on money and product.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with JTB Beauty – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Right now, I sell beauty products in bulk to smaller businesses. I’m known for my “rose gold glitter lip gloss”. I’m most proud of my growth and for not giving up. My personality in my business sets me apart from others. I feel like people support me because of me. Selling trendy/unique products in bulk is a bonus.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Everything is based on faith. I’m simply going with the flow.
