Meet Jamison Malone of Honor Bright in Calabasas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamison Malone.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jamison. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My story is one of twists and turns of fate, determination, and perseverance. I grew up in the Valley, my dad passed away when I was a year old and I was raised by a single mother. As the first of my family to attend college, I found my way to the University of Arizona. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business management. Throughout my years of youth, I was always a fan of sports, but when I met my late husband, Akil, linebacker for University of Arizona, it ignited my passion. After his passing, I continued to work in the field of business management and accounting. Upon remarrying and having three beautiful children, I came to the realization that I needed a balance between my career-driven persona and life as a mother. The long hours behind a desk were not going to work for me anymore. I then pursued my career as a real estate agent. My caring nature mixed with my fire for negotiating quickly excelled my career.

Now, as a single mother of three, my drive for success has led me full circle and connected my real estate career to my passion for sports. In addition to real estate, I found my niche in the sports and entertainment business by relocating athletes all over the United States. Along with my oldest child, I founded the Honor Bright LLC., a full-service management company, as well as the Honor Bright Foundation, a nonprofit organization geared toward social reform and education for those marginalized and disenfranchised. To this day, I continue to pursue my career in real estate, while also fueling my passion for sports management and social justice.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Any road to success is not a smooth ride. While I faced many struggles along the way, I would say my biggest challenge was balancing being a full-time, dedicated mother while building and maintaining a successful career.

Honor Bright – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m an estate agent with Compass Real Estate. I specialize in estate home sales throughout Southern California, as well as relocate professional athletes throughout the United States. I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built throughout my career. I can truly say that each and every client has become a friend to me, and some even like family. What sets me apart from others in my field is that I have been known to get on planes and travel to places like Chicago and New York, or drive to Vegas or San Francisco to make sure my clients are comfortable and protected. I see through each and every transaction from start to finish and handle every detail down to furniture in my clients’ homes, clothes in their closet, and food in their refrigerator.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I think I’m different than many, in that my gauge of success is not monetary. My philosophy of success is not based on how much money I make, but rather the comfort and joy I bring to others. If I can leave a legacy of integrity behind and know that I helped many people throughout my journey, then I will feel like I lived a successful life and career.
