Today we’d like to introduce you to Ish Soul.
Ish, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m a London born artist who originally came to the United States with the goal to become a professional soccer player via the college route. After facing adversity on that journey that led to me having to surrender that dream, I turned to music to heal and haven’t looked back since.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I’ve face adversity my whole life growing up in London under the poverty line. I chased a dream that took me across the world but after tearing my ACL 3 times, I was forced to stop my pursuit of a professional soccer career. I channel all my struggles into my music so listeners will feel all the bumps along the road.

Hailing from London and now based out of Southern California, Ish Soul is an artist uniquely in tune with his emotional headspace. Possessing a unique blend of melodic synth instrumentation and driving melancholy trap percussion, Soul paints vivid lyrical pictures of his battles with heartbreak, regret from past mistakes as well as wanting to make a better life for himself.
Honest and emotionally raw, Soul makes no compromises when illustrating his walk of life, doing so with stunning emotional depth. Soul has said that writing songs is the only way he is able to deal with his emotional trauma, and as a result, he is able to write compelling, well thought out lyrical essays that will make listeners hit the replay button again and again.
Utilizing a singing/rapping vocal inflection, he uses his vocals to add weight to his already gaudy lyricism, making him as sincere an artist as anyone you will find. Because of this, he is a very likable and relatable character on the mic, speaking to his ability to resonate with an audience.
Despite having just one project under his belt, Soul is proving he is here to stay. It is only up from here for the California-based wordsmith.
