Meet Kassidi Stynnett of All Great Lengths Natural Hair Care

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kassidi.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kassidi. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve been natural my entire life, done my own hair since before I was in Junior High and can count how many times I have been to a salon on one hand. I decided to take a leap of faith in 2016 and try a salon that specializes in all things curly hair, including color. I received a consultation for a balayage (painted on highlights all over to create a natural look) and I ended up getting my entire hair bleached. I had a bald spot and my hair started thinning shortly thereafter.

My hair is super thick, however, to reverse and prevent any more damage I decided to create a concoction turned hair oil, to help rejuvenate my scalp and follicles. I made this all in my kitchen from certified organic products. From watching YouTube videos, doing research on my own and trial and error I came up my very first product, the Scalp Repair. I gave trial sized bottles to family and friends and they loved it.

The name came about once everyone started asking me for more. They kept asking what should they call it. All Great Lengths is an ode to any length and how far we are all willing to go to have healthy hair.

Once my own hair was past its original thickness, I thought everyone might also appreciate something that will allow accelerated growth and then came the Nourishing Growth oil.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Throughout this entire process, I’ve worked a full-time job 9-5, so that I can fund All Great Lengths and a lot of days I’m exhausted when I get home and the weekends seem to be getting shorter. I’ve even moved, have a sick parent and gotten laid off in the midst as well. Life is truly unpredictable.

Beyond that, starting a legitimate business costs money up front and continued support.

Overall, I feel like I’ve been lucky. Orders are up and down because there is a learning curve when it comes to learning how to market your product effectively to produce constant cash flow; but nothing is built overnight.

I’m definitely a person who believes in learning how to do everything yourself first, but you need a team and you need help. You absolutely cannot build an empire of any size without a few solid helping hands behind you.

Overall, overcoming being exhausted at the end of my workday and learning how to market and who to bring in to help grow my company has been the most challenging, but I’m not stopping anytime soon. This will be a business that thrives and caters to its consumers.

All Great Lengths Natural Hair Care – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
All Great Lengths is a company that prides itself on safe products that anyone can use. Beauty is an industry that isn’t going anywhere. Taking care of yourself, your hair and your skin are top priorities in that area. My company is here to be all-inclusive and safe/effective to use on any length, style or texture.

I started doing my own hair in 5th grade because my mom would be too tired after her workday to tackle the amount of hair I had and the style preference a lot of the time. Before that, I would be braiding my barbies head and as I got older I started doing classmates’ hair. Also, growing up a few of my friends knew how to do styles better than me or vice versa and we’d learn from one another. Over time, I learned my own techniques and I learned what worked on different textures.

Haircare, in general, has evolved immensely and a lot of people have turned to natural alternatives when they aren’t frequenting the salon. I believe that we all should have some knowledge of taking care of the parts of us that not only makes us unique but makes us stand out. I have also added a few skincare products that I’m fine-tuning and of course, more products will be coming soon.

In such a saturated industry, I feel like I stand out because this started as something for myself. We tend to take so much pride in things we truly want for ourselves and it turned out to fully benefit those close to me and beyond. In my ten years as a working adult, I also understand that more than anything, I want to run my own show. In order to do that, you have to want it. I don’t necessarily want to be “rich”, but I want to create something long-lasting that I can pass down and that can evolve long after I’m no longer here. A legacy-based wealth is the goal; built on the backs of products that are safe for anyone of any age to use, safe for the environment and that ultimately falls in line with safer choices for our world moving forward.

Overall, maybe I’m not so different; but I know that not everyone is taking steps to choose better alternatives across the board and I believe we should.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment is seeing repeat orders from strangers pop up in my system.

When you’re young, you don’t plan past 18 or 21 really and when you get your stride in whatever career path you choose, it’s the little things that stand out.

Nobody has to buy my product. I didn’t even have to share it with friends and family. Overall, it didn’t even have to get to this point, but I’m proud that I’m reaching people and helping people achieve their #hairgoals.
