Meet Gleyna O of Cornwithslime in Ventura County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gleyna O.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Gleyna. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I got into slime when I was 15 years old and scrolling through my Instagram explore page. These slime videos had taken over it completely and I was hooked to them. I then created my own slime account on insta just for fun – no intent of growing a business. My account grew pretty fast, so I then decided to start my own shop! I’ve been running my own little small slime business for over two years now.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely has not been easy managing my slime business. I started it when I was in high school, so you can probably imagine the stress I had to go through. I would miss school a lot to work on shipping orders, making slime, etc. and it got to a point where I was behind so much that I was not expected to graduate. Everyone doubted that I would graduate, but I worked hard and made it happen to graduate with my class (137 absences later lol). Time management has always been my biggest struggle, I always lose track of time. I’ve slowly have got better at it but it’s probably the most difficult thing for me.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Cornwithslime – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I specialize in making cute and unique scented slimes for people of all ages to enjoy! A lot of people think slime is just for kids- but it’s not. It’s literally for everyone! So I am to make slimes for everyone to enjoy. I even have an Aromatherapy Slimes series that is an absolute favorite from my adult customers. I try to make my slimes a unique experience that reminds you of your favorite candies, seasons, foods, etc. It’s such a cool experience to play with something that smells and looks like your favorite food, so this is what I want to give to everybody that purchases my slime!

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The only plan I have for the future of my business is to keep sharing the art of slime to new people. Introducing slime to people who have never heard of it before and having them enjoy it is seriously one of my favorite things ever!
