Meet Glenn Shelhamer of Eastside LA’s Shelhamer Real Estate Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Glenn Shelhamer.

Glenn, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
You’ve got plenty of choices when it comes to picking a real estate agent in Los Angeles to buy or sell a home, so what sets me apart? I have a true passion for real estate, I love working with people, and I’m a well-connected negotiation expert.

I grew up in West Palm Beach Florida and New Jersey, and then moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to study Liberal Arts and Creative Writing. I’ve been an Angelino ever since!

I believe a lot of my success comes from matching my buyers with the right homes and positioning my sellers properties in the market to cause them to sell for top dollar. It’s getting to know my clients and their personalities, and knowing the personalities of the different communities I work within that brings it all together. In the end, I feel I’m a little bit of a matchmaker.

Most of the neighborhoods I work within have their own sense of community. Whether it’s a high-rise community in the revitalized downtown LA or an Eastside neighborhood driven by schools, or just the feel of an eclectic spot.

The areas I work within all have their own personalities and it’s a privilege diving in deeper for my clients while using silverlakeblog.com as the perfect tool meeting interesting locals and finding properties for sale before they hit the open market – I love that.

Through the years as my clients taste change or their families might get larger or they might get smaller — it’s a great compliment when they call me and say, “Glenn. We need to get out and find the next home.”

Homes, architecture, and people are what get me excited. When I get all of them together… that’s when the magic happens.

Send me an Email and tell me about yourself! What does your perfect home look like? Or if you’re curious about selling your home I’d be happy to chat with you. Let’s work together!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The first six months practicing real estate as a licensed California real estate agent was brutal. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. But the sun eventually came out. It can’t rain all the time.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Our business model at The Shelhamer Real Estate Group is tech savvy and web platform progressive. We cater mostly to generation x and millennials. Helping them either save money while buying real estate or getting them top dollar if selling real estate. We have a passion for local community, people, and real estate.

What were you like growing up?
I was always an outgoing kid. Always high energy and the social butterfly. Resourceful would be a good word to wrap me up.
