Meet Gladis Alejandre

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gladis Alejandre.

Gladis, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Creativity and art was something that came natural to me. My passion toward art began at a young age and it followed through college. Today I do various art shows, exhibitions, public art and pop-ups all over California.

Has it been a smooth road?
Yes! Definitely, there has been some struggles along the way but all the pitfalls led to many rewards and recognition.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am an entrepreneur, an artist, and educator, and my business is Gladis Alejandre-ART, but I don’t specialize in only one thing. I create paintings, public art, exhibitions, and wearable art.

My art is a reflection of life in the community I live in. I am interested in the idea of representing optimism. My main objective as an artist and educator is to promote and cultivate the importance of higher education, the arts and keeping traditions alive. My art is a celebration of life, a way to lighting the candle of self-empowerment and motivate the viewer to see their own light.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Yes, I see myself doing large public art projects and expanding my brand internationally.
