Meet Erica Victoria also known as Scorpioluvv in Mid City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica Victoria also known as Scorpioluvv.

Erica, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Since the age of 14, I’ve been working in the fashion industry. I began modeling for Hip Hop brands like Meoshe, Rocawear, Karl Kani, Mitchell & Ness and others. Print, music videos, runway and fashion modeling in trade shows, including the Los Angeles Black Business Expo, the second-largest African American focused consumer show in the country. Runway was my thing growing up, but designing was a gift I couldn’t ignore. I designed unique pieces reflecting the styles and vibes of the city. Reflecting my lifestyle.

As a Los Angeles native, I grew up with a strong love for my city, the world of fashion and design. As I evolved, my interest in what went on behind the scenes grew. My interest peaked in the people and the magic that was being made to create visuals that appealed to the masses. I created my own platform and in 2009 the world was introduced to Scorpioluvv. I built up a following and in that, multiple opportunities were formed. A young, ‘brown n’ proud’ entrepreneur from the city. Expressing my life through my style. I am a wardrobe stylist, personal shopper, designer & brand architect.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, from the ups and downs of the industry to personal life transitions, not getting the job or balancing family life with my professional goals and timelines. No, it has not been smooth. But I have since learned that challenges truly come to make us strong and what I may perceive as a challenge or even a failed moment, I should always view as a lesson, an opportunity to think outside of my comfort zone. An opportunity to re-evaluate, improve and to implement my skills.

Please tell us about Scorpioluvv.
I am Scorpioluvv and Scorpioluvv.com is a place I created to share pieces of my lifestyle. I offer beauty tips, tricks, shopping secrets and more. I specialize in brand building and styling. I’m known for my sense of style and ability to create and influence. While continuing my journey, I’ve been blessed to add two new projects to my business.

LOVÉbyEV is my 18k gold plated handmade jewelry line (named after my daughter Sarai Lové) offered at affordable prices and MY CLOSET is exactly that, My Closet. All exclusive and/or rare items worn in my posts are eventually made available for purchase at great prices. Staying fly while being mindful of your spending is very important for all and while I encourage and promote self-care, style and fashion, saving and building for your future is crucial.

I am proud of my passion and my love for people. I’m proud that I’m still standing, as life has not always been easy but I wouldn’t change a thing. My race, my speed. I’m on my own time.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

If I were to change a step from my past, I wouldn’t be where I am today. For me, every lesson learned was necessary for my growth.
