Meet Emara Grainger of Endurance By E

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emara Grainger.

EMARA GRAINGER, also known as ENDURANCEMOME, is a mother, fitness professional, and supporter of the sisterhood! This super energetic mother of two girls found her way to her dream career after deciding to quit her counseling position at a hospital while on maternity leave. Years later, she is now the proud owner of ENDURANCE BY E LLC. Emara is POWERFULLY making an impact in the fitness industry and has never looked back!

Emara creates fitness experiences for children, adults, and seniors. She has shared her expertise with a wide breadth of audiences ranging from Good Shepard Services, the NYC Department of Education, the NYC Administration for Children’s Services, the United Federation of Teachers, homeless shelters and senior centers. Her contribution to the health and wellness of New York City residents has been covered in a News 12 television news broadcast as well as in the community paper, The Brooklyn Reader. Regardless of the audience, Emara is attuned to varying fitness levels and provides movement modifications to ensure that the workout is safe, effective and comfortable for all.

For Emara, helping others achieve their fitness goals comes naturally and from the heart; her work is her PASSION and her PLEASURE.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Initially starting a new business with no financial resources or guidance.

Initially starting a new business when my daughters were ages 1 and 4.

Quieting the voices of others who disapproved of my decision to quit my masters level job to become an entrepreneur.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Endurance By E – what should we know?
Emara specializes in WHOLISTIC WOMEN’s EMPOWERMENT. She combines her deep fitness knowledge and counseling expertise to develop educational programs and training methods which are specifically geared toward helping women become the best version of themselves. Emara’s expansive offerings include creatively designed and fun fitness classes, personal coaching and training, fitness events and wellness workshops. Her signature class, AFROBICS, is a fusion of African dance and strength and cardio training conducted with African music. In addition, she teaches Trap N Tone, Bootcamp, Senior Fitness, Stretch & Tone, Aqua Fitness, Soca Aerobics and more. Emara’s classes are UNIQUE because she creates a space for her participants to transform physically and mentally while releasing stress. Through Emara’s verbal motivation and supportive environment, she inspires participants to persevere.

Emara’s ability to connect with those attending her classes is built on having completed a MSEd counseling program at Hunter College and her professional background as a rehabilitation counselor. Through these experiences, she has honed her skill in guiding people in overcoming personal challenges. She believes that exercise is a natural mood enhancer and teaches others how to use fitness to help navigate life’s stressors.

What sets me apart is I help others see their superpowers even when they can’t see it in themselves.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My clients deserve all of the credit I have many long term clients who have continued to support me and push me even when I wanted to quit. My clients have continued to help me open doors that I never thought I would walkthrough.
