Today we’d like to introduce you to Elisabeth King.
D Pet Hotels Los Angeles opened in 2016 and is the fourth of five locations for the group, who’s original location opened in 2008.
Elisabeth and her husband Joshua have a profound love for dogs and decided to open the franchise as to them, there’s simply no better job in the world than to look after people’s children.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s not our first rodeo. Josh has a company that’s been going for 10 years in London, UK. Many struggles including a build out of our 14,000 sq. ft. facility to sorting our signage, advertising, gaining a presence within the community and into the black!
D Pet Hotels Los Angeles – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The personal approach we take – either Josh or Liz is on site every day, we know each dog and their owners intimately and treat each doggy like our own. We mimic their feeding routines, have overnight staff (only company in the area that does), have the most amount of space with 3 separate parks.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Seeing the hard work pay off – making other people happy. Contributing to the community, providing exceptional customer service – to go above and beyond. Every day.
