Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Dustin Plattner.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My beginnings started in graduate school. It is was a great time of learning and excitement for me. It gave me a chance to grow and develop my skill in helping children and families. After graduation, I began my small practice in Pasadena and it now continues to be a service to families in Pasadena and the surrounding areas. I am delighted to be a part of this community where I can be of service to children and families in need.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The process of beginning a practice is hard work. Just like starting any other business, it takes time, patience, and sacrifice. My practice was no exception. Along with this, I found the key to keeping a growing psychological private practice is to never stop learning and strive to keep in high quality training. We as humans are very complex and families make the situation even more complex. For me to be the most help to the families who put their trust in me for help, I have to make sure I am the most knowledgeable I can be for them.

My practice works uniquely with children, adolescents, and families in a long-term framework. My training has focused on understanding deep rooted dynamics that impact child behavior. Families seek my help to get relief and find answers on how to make their child stop behaving so disruptively in the home and at school.

I am convinced it takes community for anyone to become all of who they are. I have had many great people in my life and continue to do so. I would not be in the position to serve my local community without the help of very generous and loving people helping me along the way.
