Meet Dr. Bobby Pourziaee of Rodeo Drive Podiatry in Beverly Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Bobby Pourziaee.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Dr. Pourziaee. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have always had an interest in foot and ankle surgeries and procedures. I initially wanted to start out in sports medicine but thought I could make a bigger impact in Podiatry. I am humbled to help my patients realize their full potential and I am thankful every day that I get to show up to work doing what I love.

Has it been a smooth road?
I have been practicing Podiatry for over 15 years. Opening my own practice was an exciting challenge. I have learned a lot along the way and love being a Foot and Ankle Specialist. The smile my patients have on their faces when they see their feet after surgery or even a small procedure in my office warms my heart. It is an amazing and humbling experience to assist my patients and am honored they trust putting their feet in my hands.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Rodeo Drive Podiatry story. Tell us more about the business.
Rodeo Drive Podiatry is a full-service foot and ankle wellness center located in Beverly Hills, California. Our team of specialists, at the direction of Medical Director Dr. Bobby Pourziaee, comprehensively treat all foot and ankle problems. Individual treatment plans are constructed using the latest medical protocols and procedures.

On average people take between 5,000 to 8,000 steps per day. In metropolitan areas like Beverly Hills, that number increase to upwards of 13,000 steps a day. Our Practice is sensitive to the fact that our clients enjoy a very active physical and social life. Any foot or ankle injury has not only medical implications but social and lifestyle implications. That’s why our Practice is geared toward treating the patient, not just their feet. Patients can expect highly tailored programs and treatment regimens that aim to treat each foot condition while making sure the patient’s life is impacted as little as possible.

Nestled on the Garden Level of the Rodeo Collection at 421 N. Rodeo Drive, it is our goal to make patients feel more like they are on a retreat than a doctor’s office. Call and schedule an appointment today and give your feet the reprieve they deserve.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Our industry is always changing. I love reading and attending conferences so that I can be on top of the new medical advances. Something that I have been using a lot in my practice is PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). PRP has multiple applications in the foot and ankle. The treatment involves drawing blood and then spinning the blood in a centrifuge which separates the red blood cells from the plasma. The plasma is extracted into a syringe and then injected an area of the foot and ankle. The plasma contains growth factors which help recruit your own bodies stem cells in order to help heal tissue. It can help tendons that are scarred from injury to help repair itself. It helps with soft tissue injuries i.e. ankle ligament tears, and plantar fascia tears. We have patients ranging from young individuals who have sports injuries to older patients dealing with daily pain. With regards to wearing high heels, a series of PRP injections can help plump up the pad of the of foot in order to make wearing heels less painful.
