Today we’d like to introduce you to Dina Fraboni.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Dina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in a small Northern Minnesota town where I experienced tremendous freedom and a close multi-generational family life. As a young child of two, I began having spontaneous experiences. These recurring convulsive episodes occurred regularly until I was nine years old for no medically known reason. In my small northern town doctors and my parents chalked up to “Bad dreams”. Later I would discover and attribute my experience to my inborn gift of running spiritual energy. As a little girl though, it was just too much for my tiny body. At 21, while driving on a busy freeway in a large city, I began to experience the familiar sensations of an episode coming on. Frightened, I yelled out loud, “No!”, and the experience went away. Immediately and for the first time, I knew this was something I could control, maybe even harness and direct.
My innate connection with a dimensional life drew me into studying anything about unseen energy and how it communicates with human beings. “What is the language of energy and how to I speak it?” was my question. After my Shamanic initiation with Victoria Ransom in 1989, I began my private practice and honing my psychic-mediumship skills.
By my early 30’s, I was living a split life, I was a successful executive producer at a major motion picture studio, and a practicing shaman and clairvoyant medium on the weekends. I was deeply unhappy despite the outward perception of success and accomplishment. I was a true fish out of water in Hollywood. Compelled to uncover more of who I was as a woman, and as a spiritual being, I left my contract with the studio and dove deeply into energetic healing applications, from both modern and ancient traditions, studying polarity therapy, cranial sacral, reiki, and other hands-on applications skills. I crossed paths with many wonderful and honored teachers and guides, who generously supported my unfoldment at that time. My gratitude to all of them for their teachings and mentorship is immense.
1994, I began my private practice as a hands-on energy healer, bodyworker, and intuitive counselor in both clinical and private settings.
Since 1998, I have been teaching energy healing and alternative healing applications in accredited .institutions, private settings, and mentoring students into private practice.
In 2014, I founded Energy Arts Education an online classroom, to teach and mentor others in energy healing and intuitive development.
Has it been a smooth road?
Well, mostly the struggles were within myself, especially self-acceptance and my ability to truly embrace my path. I tried for years to “fit in” with what I thought was valid in the world only to find out it invalidated me and the gifts I was here to share. And so this is much of what I offer to others in sessions and in classroom.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am known as an intuitive counselor, energy healer, teacher and mentor. People come to me for many reasons; physical issues, emotional or spiritual crises, relationship and career issues, or many types of life changes or crises.
I specialize in getting to the most important point of any issue and its effects in someone’s life and bringing often complex issues into understanding through simple language and easy steps toward resolve. I also specialize is supporting others into professional practice as healers, counselors, and teachers. I am most proud of my students and clients who continue to amaze me with their ability to grow personally, and when applicable, to help others.
I think what sets me apart from others is the way I language and integrate complex issues into simple concepts that people of any background, culture, race or religion can understand and utilize…
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I think there are so many people waking up that a major shift in consciousness around healing and community is inevitable and already taking place. I see my field growing and affecting the well-being of more and more individuals and whole cultures. For example, my student base ranges in age from 19-70 years old. Young people beginning their work in the world, middle-range ages are re-choosing, redefining or adding energy medicine to their careers and home lives, and retired individuals are entering the field as a second career or a way of self-development and giving back. I am so excited to have been in this field for more than 30 years and to be contributing to so many other’s initiation and success at this critical time.
