Danie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
A daughter of two immigrants, I remember as early as the age of 5 that my mother instilled in me that her sacrifices will lay the groundwork to achieve any dreams that my little heart desired. Flash forward years later, I have created an entity that addresses our most basic needs. The need to love and be loved.
The BeLoved Box was a concept birthed from necessity and convenience. As a Professional Relationship Coach, my clients- both single and married- came with four basic concerns. All my clients had four major areas of concern. They needed to find ways to BeRelaxed in an ever changing and growing world, they needed to find ways to approach tough situations and BeCalm, they looked for ways to awaken their passionate side and BeSeduced, and finally ways to become more grounded when they feel they are flying all over the place, or BeAssured. I took into consideration my needs when choosing products for myself with sensitive skin or my partner who has eczema, what we needed and how we liked to feel. With ultra-moisturizing ingredients like Shea Butter, Mango Butter and Sweet Almond Oil, we wanted each person who used BeLoved Box to feel the love that we put into it.
Today, 9 months from launching, we are we excited! We have been a part of over 25 major events, we have landed our soaps in ROAM international hotels, and we have been featured in several major publications. We look forward to being the face of Love, be it Self-Love or Love Between Your Partner and Yourself.
Has it been a smooth road?
I think it’s safe to say that no entrepreneurship road is smooth. I remember making a definitive decision that I pursuing my passion was my only option and that looking back was not. One of the largest hurdles I have had to face, is knowing that I am good enough. When you are small, you are always comparing yourself to others who have been around longer than you have or larger corporations. I have to affirm my staff and myself, that what we provide to the world is so valuable and needed.
