Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Ashkarian.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Where did it all start? Taco Bell, actually! It was my first job when I was 15. In my short time there and my take away from the job was a profound realization that I would one day work for myself. I didn’t know how, when, but I held that belief with me until I was 24 when it came to fruition. I was volunteering in Armenia and at the time, I was feeling lost, so I went with the intentions of going to have a good time of course! But on a personal note, I wanted to figure out what I wanted to do career wise. So in short, that’s what I did. I wrote it down to get clear on what I wanted. When I came back home, I worked at a few lash bars, from there I gained the confidence I needed to go out in my own. Doing things like buzzfeed bits, putting myself out there more, building strong relationships. What does Hye mean? And how do you say it? Hye means Armenian, there is where I created this vision and there is my beautiful roots. How to you pronounce it? Hi, like you are saying hello!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the struggles with being an independent business owner so young was and sometimes still are tax stuff, being able to balance all the jobs I do besides performing services. It is also challenging to be an unlicensed therapist to my clients, I am everyone secret keeper! The biggest struggle was the day I got the keys to the studio. Realizing the entire place needed to be gutted to create what Hye lash is today!

Before Hyelash being anything it is a place you walk out feeling like the best version of yourself. Hye lash offers lash extensions, lash strips, lip gloss line of 5 shades, and lash extensions certification. What sets me apart from the rest is me! No one is like me, no one can be me! We all have a passion, making people feel beautiful is mine. Hye lash wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for my ability to go for my dreams, And I hope to inspire a few to do the same.

Resilience is key, never give up on your goals. You must always stay motivated, and be willing to keep learning.
