Today we’d like to introduce you to Chef Cooper.
Chef, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After High School, I went into the medical field for almost ten years. My love to serve others lead me to working in hospitals and trauma centers. Assisting those who needed help because of there condition. I went through some trying times where honestly I almost died. Moving multiple times while finishing college.
After almost ten years, I came to a very honest career change realization. People will always need to be taken care of. They will also always need to eat. So I made the change from medical to the culinary field. Attending one of the best culinary academies around at RCC Culinary Academy. Under great culinary art educators & CIA Chefs, I learned how to be a professional cook. I went through car issues, moving, I almost didn’t graduate. Though I wasn’t about to quit. I had the privilege of working in fine dining, luxury locomotives, medical facilities, universities. Though the most gratifying place I worked was for a rehab facility where men and women went from being homeless on drugs and alcohol. To being clean and becoming great people in society working and living there life. I knew I wanted to be my own boss, so I started my catering company after school. It’s been eight years now, and we are going stronger than ever! Assisting my community through global fusion & vegan cuisine. Also, having the honor of catering celebrities including bravos tv series like “married to medicine LA”. We love & are so blessed to see how far food has taken us from the streets of Pomona to the world.
Our motto: Foods Not Just Made… it’s Krafted
Has it been a smooth road?
While working in the medical & culinary field. I went through over five preowned vehicles & had to move over four times in an 8-year span. Trying to finish culinary academy was very hard. I even went through my car’s engine blowing up while attending culinary academy. Getting no financial aide to buy books & knives was a struggle my first few semesters of culinary academy. Very very difficult times. Though after graduating while starting my catering company. I knew I didn’t have much, though I knew I wanted to start somewhere. I didn’t have a start-up or anything. I just worked 2-3 jobs at one time to save and build my business one quarter at a time. With the support of my lovely foxy wife, awesome family, & phenomenal Lord I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and the least?
The city’s diversity is something we appreciate and love the most. So many cultures are represented. It speaks directly to us. We want to kraft a culture (pun intended) through food that speaks to everyone. We do not like to see people going hungry. The power of food can heal the spirit & soul. Bringing people together through LOVE!
