Meet Carly Pepin of Topanga

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carly Pepin.

Carly, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up in Los Angeles and have lived here most of my life! About 5 years ago I hit a massive wall, I had a successful career in the photography industry, I owned my own home, had the car, the cash, the clothes, but not the happiness. I was wildly miserable! I completely blamed Los Angeles it’s stereotypes, so, I figured the best option would be for me to move. And then I decided better yet, how about I get as far away as possible and move to Australia πŸ™‚ So I got there, it was beautiful, magical and everything I had imagined and more. Except…. I was still miserable, even more so in Oz. That’s when I first realized that every piece of dissatisfaction in my life, every challenging person and experience wasn’t a result of where I was, but who I was. I got hit emotionally and I got hit hard. Part of me craved the chaos back home to distract me from the truth of my pain, the other part (the one that won) refused to return because quite frankly I didn’t want to “look” like a failure.

As they say πŸ™‚ When the student is ready, the teacher appears! And she did πŸ™‚ I met my first coach by chance at really the perfect time, a time when I really questioned whether or not I wanted to be alive anymore. In the first few weeks I started experiencing rapid transformation in my personal and professional life. It was like no kind of therapy I had ever encountered, and trust me, I’ve tried all of the traditional therapies out there. My life was beginning to be filled with miracles and I got hooked on personal development for the first time in my life! My eating disorder started to disappear, my anxiety, my skin began to improve, I attracted more supportive friends, I started dating again after a 5 year dry spell! These are just a few of the amazing things I experienced during my initial transformation.

Only a few months in I decided that this was the route for me and I began training to become a coach myself. Here I am today, years later, teaching people everything that I have discovered through my own self discovery as well as my clients. It’s a miracle to be able to give this kind of life to others, this kind of freedom and bring them back into the essence of life and love on a daily basis. I found my passion and purpose through the gifts of experiencing my own pain and I am forever grateful for every single piece of it, because it has given me the life I have today πŸ™‚

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not!! It’s been a wild ride for sure! The thing you have to know about me is I like to understand EVERYTHING. I’ve been asking the question WHY since I was a kid. With Personal Development and Self Discovery, I learned quickly that you can literally answer every question you have.

So I learned about being broke, the fear of not having money, food, shelter, things that challenge your basic survival nature. I have learned about the trials of love, what it really means when we are rejected and abused by our partners and I have shifted through it. I have struggled with addictions and eating disorders and had to find a way to heal myself mentally to be able to transcend them. To process the loss of loved ones. One of the most painful was actually being unsuccessful in the coaching world, because it is my passion, that one was tough to stick out! I’ve had to figure out how to do a lot on my own because of the financial struggle, but…. That’s probably one of the greatest gifts of all πŸ™‚

It brought me the abilities I have today, things I would never have accessed or tapped into had I not had those challenges!

Carly Michele Pepin – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I have my own business and I work as a Personal Development Coach for Coaches.

Coaches have a wonderful ability to be able to help others transform their lives, but they often stay stuck in their own experiences and challenges because they are unable to take themselves personally to the next level. This isn’t because they are faulty in any way, they are simply ready for the next level of their own personal Evolution.

So I work with Coaches to help them come back into clarity and understand exactly what is happening in their lives, I help them to see the WHY’s and then guide them in a way that allows them to transform an area of their lives permanently.

I bring these individuals to a level they cannot access on their own and help them to understand how to sustain it and move forward without me in the future! My work empowers individuals and brings them back to living from their higher self, on a regular basis.

What sets me apart from others? Well, by the time someone comes to me, they have usually tried everything and approach me to help them with something “impossible.” Which basically means you don’t understand why you have something in your life and therefore it’s sticking to you like glue πŸ™‚ I’m here to help that unstick!

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Becoming a Coaches Coach πŸ™‚ I have had to develop so deeply, to learn so much to be able to hold space and heal people that are at an advanced level of development. It’s an honor to work with people who are really game changers in the world and know that your impact doesn’t always lie in the quantity of people that you reach, but the snowball effect your work has because of the kind of people that you teach. It feels good to be here and I’m excited to keep upping the game for myself and my clients!
