Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlin Schiedow.
Carlin, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My story and journey all started back when I was five years old. My mother was a single mother raising me on her own we moved a lot and lived in a lot of garages My childhood wasn’t your typical childhood lets just say I am thankful and grateful for everything and I had to grow up fast. I always had a passion in helping people from giving them pep talks through fitness or even with makeup. Stronger every day came about something that helped me developed the strength I never thought I could ever have. You see it all started at five when I was sexually abused and molested by a neighbor my whole life changed.
Growing up because of the trauma I made a lot of mistakes even with relationships I didn’t love my self to the point I cheated on my husband and I ended with an abusive partner which I was with for five years. I got tired of that life I needed help so I turned to fitness. It was my outlet my escape from everything I forgot about all my problems. from my childhood to adulthood I always kept telling myself ” I am Strongerveryday !” those words never left me and stuck by me through it all. Slowly but surely I was strong enough to leave that abusive relationship I HAD ENOUGH OF IT. I started to love myself and a the same time I would talk about it on my social media and little did I know I was motivating other women as well.
It kept growing and growing so it turned from fitness to now mentoring women who were like me to become Strongereveryday. I have raised money to feed the homeless even at the times I was struggling because to me it was important to help others realize how Strong they are. So now I help women with fitness and coaching spiritually physically and emotionally. But for me, that wasn’t all. I wanted to do more and expand so I have a passion for beauty as I am a licensed cosmetologist through my struggles I was going to beauty school and I love making women feel beautiful so I used to do free makeovers just to boost women’s self-esteem up. Because I remembered how my mom felt when she got ready and did her make up so I kept replaying my mom’s reaction and how her attitude changed in the mirror after applying makeup.
My passion is making women feel good about themselves so I started a cosmetic line named after my daughter Leia Faith. You see Strong with Carlin and Leia Faith cosmetics go hand on hand as they both Focus on one main thing “WOMEN “. Leia Faith started by me making lipsticks from scratch in my kitchen. Women loved it I wanted to create something that even though someone wasn’t feeling good I knew a lipstick would make her feel a little confident. Strong With Carlin has been amazing from now writing my book to giving coaching and helping women find their voice and to see how Strong they are not just physically but mentally and emotionally.
Leia Faith cosmetics products can be found in AUS, in few locations in Ca and Mexico. The product that we are known for is our Glow me oil with Cbd with helps with skin issues as Rosacea eczema and many more. Both are still growing and excited to see what more we can accomplish. Both have raised money to help others in need.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Ohh most definitely not lol. The first year of Strong with Carlin I lost a lot from losing money on making Shirts and having to give them away at the end. BUT I also gained by learning each and every day that sometimes as much as you want to help everyone you just can’t and I think that tore me because I know how much potential someone has. For Leia Faith the first year I did not know about business but I learned on my own profit and loss to marketing was not a smooth road.
I ended up getting a partner (now future husband) and he helped me a lot to develop the brand from a new logo to new manufacture. When we landed our first huge account it was amazing but we ended losing them for products not being in on time. it was most definitely a learning experience. I opened studios that failed I even opened a store and closed it in three months so when I tell you it has been a struggle oh it has been a struggle. But I am thankful for all of them as I learned along the way.

Strong with Carlin and Leia Faith cosmetics it’s my story and my life. One best describes as one who helped me gain strength the one who kept me going who taught me that I can do anything and everything that I want. The other one was that I can create a product that can change lives simple as a lipstick or a skin product.
I think you can say I specialize in Showing women that no matter what you have been through you can make it happen! From fitness or even starting your own business. What I am proud of both Strong with Carlin and Leia Faith is that they both do things with the heart and I think there is a lot of companies that tend to forget about that.

What sets us apart, to be honest, is I don’t see this as a business but I see it as helping others. Both companies are always giving back as for me the way I see it is if you get blessed you must pass on and bless others. Our HEART is what sets us apart and our customer service.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I don’t think I would honestly change anything because I’ve learned so much from all the mistakes and bad business decisions I’ve made. Everything is a learning experience. You see a lot of people say you win some or you lose some, I don’t think that way I say ” You win some and you learn some.
