Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Paul.
Hailed as a showstopper and the world’s next guitar prodigy- Brandon is not your average guitar player. He is an inspiring music enthusiast and creative force with strong identity in the industry. Hearing Van Halen’s monstrous “Eruption” at the age of 16 was an awakening to pursue a music career. Coming from a family with no musical background or immediate lessons, he found that transposing from an athlete to a musician was no easy task. After spending 6-10 hours a day honing his craft, it quickly became evident something special was on the horizon.
Brandon has performed countless shows; recently sharing the stage and touring alongside Slash, Bobby Kimball of Toto, Thin Lizzy, and many more. On top of possessing a quality tour resume, Brandon’s social media presence is undeniable. Consisting of a loyal fan base with effective and powerful interaction, his highly anticipated Facebook live feeds and impressive videos have reached upward of 100k views.
Recommended and hired to teach students such as Roger Waters’ (Pink Floyd) grandkids, Jeremy Bloom (11x Olympic gold medalist), and Paul Geary (Extreme, Joe Perry) Brandon is a popular guitar teacher by demand. Recent student accomplishments include a feature in “Guitar Player Magazine” and live performances on Conan. Brandon’s determination to educate, help, and influence others has always been a vision of his. Therefore, becoming a music teacher was a natural decision.

Has it been a smooth road?
There have been many challenges and amounts of adversity in my music career and life in general; from being in bands that did not work out, to struggling to make ends meet financially on many tours, feeling humiliated after certain auditions and performances, to personal struggles that require immense attention of their own simultaneously, and of course blocking out people who try to slag you and your music down.
One thing is for sure, the more you overcome the stronger and better of a person you become!
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Music/guitar teacher by day, performer by night.
Available for hire for tours, studio sessions and more.
Skype lessons and in home (Los Angeles) available as well!
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Los Angeles is potentially the best place for musicians. It is the mecca for building and connecting with people. Not only for musicians, but for actors and the entertainment business entirely.
I would certainly recommend moving to LA if you are a musician looking to do this as your career. However, I would come with an open mind and be prepared to work harder than you ever have.
