Today we’d like to introduce you to Brad Ingalls.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Brad. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I moved to Southern California in 1976 from a small town in Western New York called Avon with $500.00. At the time, I was in the restaurant business, I interviewed with The Disneyland Hotel and was hired as a bartender. After a few years I left the Hotel and was hired as a Bar Manager at the Nieuport 17 in Santa Ana.
Four years later, a customer convinced me to go into packaging sales with his company, West Coast Packaging. After 1 year I was a full time outside salesman working on strait commission. I spent 20 years with West Coast providing all types of Custom Packaging. At that point I founded and created Bling Bling Packaging and Display and purchased the Domain for the internet. I created the name as an “attention getter” and last year, after 9 years, my sales were 1.2 million. I am very grateful to still have the passion and energy today as I did when I first started. We are a small boutique type company that provides custom retail and industrial packaging. The website continues to attract companies nationwide and Internationally.
Has it been a smooth road?
We all know outside sales can be a rocky ride, particularly when you work for strait commission. We all do fine riding up the rollie coaster, the ride down is when many salespeople decide they would prefer the stability of an ongoing paycheck. It definitely takes a few years of being pleasantly persistent and understanding for every “No” you are that much closer to a “Yes”.

There are so many opportunities in Los Angeles, if you cannot succeed here, it would be difficult for you to succeed anywhere no matter what your occupation might be. Like all of us that commute, traffic is our main problem, however, I feel it is a small price you pay for enormous opportunity and the best weather in the Nation.
