Meet Anthony Navarro of Richfit Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Navarro.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
As a cinematographer, my admiration for the film industry stems to early childhood. Movie nights were what would get me and my family together on Friday evenings in the same room, which was rare sight considering my parents were very busy.

I had no desire to make videos or films as a child. I just knew I loved movies and it wasn’t until 5 years ago when I first started making small videos off my phone and putting them together on an app that sparked my interest. I would record myself making Fitness videos and trying to make them with great quality off my phones camera. I wasn’t satisfied with the quality, and had no choice but to venture in how I could possibly create better content. It was there that I started learning about the more technical aspect that went into video production and creating great content. I soon bought my first GoPro camera and then months later a Dslr… I began to love the process of making something out of nothing. I believe we all need a creative outlet and this was mine. Over the last five years I’ve worked a lot of freelance Videographer positions including working for a wedding film company, (HD Studio. Us), comedy skits for a production team, safety videos for FedEx office, commercials for businesses, & working with a number of different talents to make my own artistic ideas a reality. I aspire to direct entire features one day, especially in the horror genre.

Has it been a smooth road?
The biggest struggle was un conditioning myself out of thinking that I had to live my life in a career that was more practical and attainable through a degree of sorts. This was something I had to really get over as It would make me feel guilty for investing so much of my own time in learning, and working with video. It wasn’t until I started working and networking with other creatives that I really began to realize the value of great content.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Richfit Media – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a Cinematographer specializing in video production. My services range though Directing work, editing, and entire project handling. My mediums range through artistic productions to corporate content.

My personal style is unique in that it embodies a rhythm that many find aesthetically pleasing through special effects and a darker taste. I predict it’s that very style that will path the way in making horror features in the future.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love my city for the opportunities it yields, and the fact that so many amazing movies were shot within 20mintes of my home. It is also home to many big studios.

What I like the least about my city is definitely the parking.
