Meet Anna Lundgaard in Los Angeles & NYC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Lundgaard.

Anna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I had already started producing my own curation of Elevated Conscious Events/workshops collaborating with incredible talents within the health and conscious wellness world, when a friend introduced me to this very premature idea of developing a pop-up event series in the shape of panel discussions where people could gather information from our modern day influencers from this powerful industry.

I instantly knew I needed to be a part of that. A quick Skype call with at that time 6 other people 3 days prior to my wedding in Denmark became the beginning of the hardest most challenging, yet to this day most important and meaningful project I have taken part of.

Has it been a smooth road?
Producing an event of this scale, when your team keeps getting smaller is tough. You really have to decide if you are willing to walk the walk or are more interested in talking the talk. WITMA has space for both and it’s not meant as harsh as it may sound, but if you want anything to be successful, you’ve gotta give it all you have. I mean, we are trying to change the world here! 😀

At our foundational event, we had no idea how big WITMA was getting. Our outreach was exponential and we could only go up from there. My unbelievably talented, fearless and unbreakable co-founder Kara Erickson and I chose to go with a space that cost 3 times as much as our first event, 3 times the size and 3 times the potential.
We did not compromise on anything and we have been devoting 18-hour days to let our heart project see the light on Saturday, March 24th in Hollywood. It’s been so hard, but we absolutely know is all worth it. We have gotten so much support from KNEKT Tv who will be live streaming everything, incredibly talented people from the industry cheering on us, and incredible brands small as well as large contributing – although, never have I had to say this many times in my life “it’s very simple, either you have to pay for your table, promo and involvement or I have to”.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am a creative facilitator and conscious event producer. I basically curate event where I collaborate with talents, the creative, health and conscious wellness world and give them a platform to help people help themselves.
I guess I am known for my ecstatic look I am very much a visionary. I am such a hard worker and I care about people and this planet and very much our future generation.

I incredibly proud of WITMA (Well-being In The Modern Age), what we have accomplished so far and where we will be able to go!

This year I will, in collaboration with my business partner Sage Larock, launch my sustainable activewear line. That’s something I’m also incredibly proud of. Movement is a huge part of my life and, I for so long, have been wanting to encourage women to at least be conscious of what they are wearing going to work out. I have so much faith in humanity and if I at all can contribute to making sexy, comfortable and awesome athleisure (or better) as other brands using fabrics that destroy this planet and produced by women slaves I will be so so happy.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I’m not really starting out a business like many others and I have never done things the way that others do, so I don’t think I’m the norm or a great person to ask. I think a lot of people will look at me and think I’m such a hustler or that my life is so hard. I work 3-4 jobs and I haven’t had a weekend off in 2 months and WITMA will not be making me any profit even though, I spend 18 hours days working my but off. But, I really think I am so fortunate. I think I have been offered great opportunities and I have learned to ask for help both emotionally, spiritually and literally. I doubt it would have been different any other places. I am so happy.
