Meet Ani Issagholian of Ziziner in Glendale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ani.

Ani, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born and raised in an Armenian family in Iran. My family and I decided to move to the United States of America, the land of opportunity, to seek for a better life. We came here in 2013 with no money. Thank to the governmental help, we were able to stood on our feet. In less than a year, my brother Rafik and I decided to start our own business, but for survival we needed to work different jobs on the side. We rented a tiny store selling handmade jewelry and printing custom T-shirts, yet it was not as successful as we planned. Then we tried Amazon business, but due to the storage, advertisements, and promotional fees we could not compete with the other sellers who put more money into the business, So we decided to make our dream happen. As a results of our 25 years of experience in handmade crafts, we started our current business with making handmade soaps. Soon after we realized that we can also make handmade lotions.

After many trial and errors we started our Organic and Natural lines of skincare products. While we were working on expanding our business line, we registered for Bob Proctor’s coaching programs. Through his lessons we learned that no matter what business you have, you just need to fall in love with your ideas and have passion for what you’re doing. We decided to focus on the skincare and introduced our skincare products under Ziziner. From that moment, we never gave up and currently adding more USDA certified products. Our future goal is to introduce organic cosmetics such as lip gloss, eye shadows, pallets, etc. And here we are now!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road at all. As we mentioned in our story we had lots of ups and downs. We faced with a lot of challenges such as lack of money, language barriers, and business failures, but at the same time, we enjoyed the journey and learned a lot through the process.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Issagholian – what should we know?
We are Ziziner. We make Organic and Natural Skincare products. Some of our products has USDA Certification which as you may know it is very hard to obtain. This is what we are proud of and sets us apart from others.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Staying positive and patient, being passionate and falling in love with what you do are the most important characteristics of being successful.
