Today we’d like to introduce you to Juliana Sorelli.
Hi Juliana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started writing and directing in my early 20s and had to put it aside for a while, I had a clothing line and two stores in Hollywood and then in Los Feliz for a few years did some art direction and production work. I m now getting back into writing and directing.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Anything creative comes to me easily, challenges were more on the practical side of things which I would advise any creative to become familiar with, it’s empowering to know about the money and legal areas of creating.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I m creative in anything visual, but my favorite medium is filmed as it encompasses all mediums and can communicate so much. It’s always been what came the most naturally to me.
We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking.
I don’t overanalyze things, I tend to do things on gut feelings, and I m pretty confident in my intuition in general. Also, I love unusual and great stories so I will always pick the scenario that would be the best story. Life, to me, is about experiences.
