Today we’d like to introduce you to Jimmy Ramirez.
Hi Jimmy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In the fall of 2019, in November to be exact. I received news that would change my life. My mother passed away and I was devastated. I didn’t know how to process what I was feeling. I had times of great sadness, anger, and resentment. The night that she passed, I drank two shots of tequila and the darkness that I felt was not something I wanted in my life. So I stopped drinking.
During that time, my day to today was so busy that I didn’t have a moment to myself until the end of my night. The night would always seem endless due to the heaviness I felt. One day I decided to go to a dispensary and inquired about the best strain for sleep. At that moment, I realized the potential it had to affect me positively. I began having 1 hour walks with my dog every night. The cannabis allowed me to let my guard down and really look inward at myself. I was able to process my feelings and eventually Sleep followed.
One night I was physically struggling with sciatica. I had the worst day just trying to walk around. Determined not to miss my walk, I got home, grabbed my cannabis and started my walk. I was limping heavily before the walk and in the middle of the walk, I found myself in less pain and with better mobility. The only problem was the coughing that came from inhaling. Every Cough Sent excruciating pain thru my body. Then relief followed the pain.
I then purchased a Bong in hopes that it would smoothen out the inhale and allow me to intake more medicine. The Bong was so bad it made things worse and this was when I said to myself I bet I can make a better hitting bong. I took what I knew about Flow and Filtration from my aerospace background and began making bongs. The end goal was to have the least amount of coughing any time you used my equipment.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I think the biggest hurdle for us has been and is currently being able to show people the value of what we do at the The Recycle Gallery. Our goal is to have the smoothest hitting Dab rigs out there. So that anyone using it for medical or recreational reasons will always have a repeatable and wonderful experience. Stepping outside my comfort zone and constantly educating people about Cannabis, Hemp, and Methods of consumption have been the keys to earning the community’s trust.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
For the last ten years, I worked in the Aerospace Field. My Expertise is in Fluid dynamics, Extreme climates, Research and development, Data Acquisition, Precision Cleanliness, and Quality Assurance. At the End of January, I decided to move away from the aerospace field and focus on The Recycle Gallery. I spent three months applying all learned from my previous career and built a foundation. The two items that I’m most proud of is our Flagship Rigs. The Ramune which has been around since the 1800s in its modern form has been upcycled to make one of the best Dabrigs around. We have been working on it since 2020 and have Version 3 in Development. The Second is the Clase Azul Plata, Upcycled for both Flower and Concentrates. These 2 items have been featured in the VIP Areas for Kush Stock, Secret Sesh, SocalCannabar, and Cannabis and Movies.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is being consistent with who you are and how you treat others. These things can change people’s lives. I go Live on instagram every night with the aim of educating people about Cbd, THC, and Terpenes. Hearing that 1 person has found relief from lifelong pain is as successful as it gets to me.
