Inspiring Conversations with Yonathan Napoleon of S.N.O. Culture

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yonathan Napoleon.

Hi Yonathan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a former NCAA athlete who graduated from Drew University with a business degree then went on to live in London pursuing my postgraduate degree in Management & Marketing. I was able to play professional basketball in England whilst I was studying. Growing up in Los Angeles, I was exposed to a world of opportunity. It was inspiring growing up in a city that, while sometimes difficult to navigate, provided multiple paths towards a greater purpose. During the Covid-19 pandemic, my partner Dennis Ashley and I spent much time bouncing around ideas and brainstorming different business plans on how we can be a vessel of support to creatives in Los Angeles. After much back and forth, we landed on the concept of a “Culture Summit”. Through our S.N.O. (Summers.Never.Over) company, we specialize in one day pop-up events that brings together clothing brands, music artists, and photographers/painters under one roof to all showcase their work and talents. Over the past year, we have put on numerous events of this kind and continue to look for ways to elevate the platform for the creatives in our network for the love of the culture.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. Like any business, there are a lot of mistakes to be made and lessons to be learned. I believe trial and error is sometimes the best way to learn.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
S.N.O. stands for Summers Never Over. We are an event planning company specializing in one day pop up events

Our mission is to bring awareness to the art space, but more importantly to the “culture”. Revealing how to intertwine different aspects of urban arts and culture, while utilizing our network of influential people to make a positive impact on the community.

Our vision is to turn this into a domestic staple of what a marriage of urban arts should be. Providing an environment where creatives can express themselves with like-minded people and catalyze a memorable experience.
