Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracy Lopez.
Hi Tracy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I live in Glendora, California. I’m a wife, mom and business owner that loves to dance. I started dancing at the age of three from hip hop, Hawaiian, tap, jazz, ballet, you name it, I did it. During my childhood I had a dance agent and performed all over; from dancing in the Joffrey Ballet Nutcracker to TV shows, movies and music videos. After high school, I went to college and did cheer and started my career as a teacher. I taught for over 15 years until got married and start having kids. Through this whole time fitness was always part of my life. I also always wanted it open some type of dance studio. At the end of 2021, I had the opportunity to own my own fitness studio where I could combine dance and fitness. It was really a dream come true. I’m not only have a place to do something I love but to also highlight other great instructors around me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I love everything about this opportunity that God gave me and really the only challenge is balancing time with being a full-time mom and now a business owner. I know that God gave me the studio for a reason, so I don’t let these challenges get in my way because He is always with me…
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We provide a unique fitness experience. We are not your normal fitness studio. We have all sorts of fitness classes and special events and also special guests that teach classes. We have pop events that change monthly.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
First and foremost, my parents that have always loved and supported me in everything I do and kept me in dance classes since I was a little girl while cheering me on along the way. They always taught me to put God first in everything I do and to treat others with love and respect. Also, my loving husband and kids for supporting and helping me make my dream come true. Last but not least, all of the great instructors at Active 7 Fitness. I have been so blessed with such a great team around me.
