Hi Haley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve wanted to be an author as long as I can remember. For years I danced around the publishing industry – occulting between fear and intimidation. Finally, I sat down and wrote my own book. Unsure of what to do with it, I was encouraged by my business coach to self-publish. Throughout the process, I had a blast utilizing my graphic design, marketing and technical skills. When I published the book, I felt so self-empowered I couldn’t wait to share this joy with others! How many other women were out there dying to share their own story? I committed to helping them with that dream by starting my own self-publishing company.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Starting my own publishing company has been interesting. I’ve learned so much along the way. From client contracts to SEO, branding and writing advice. I am constantly honing my skills as a writer, a reader and a book coach. There is so much that goes into writing a book.
