Hi Eloiza, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Migrating from a third-world country to America, coupled with the opportunity I had at a young age to play sports, I was fortunate to have experienced the power health, wellness, and sports has for individuals and the communities they live in. After realizing my passion for health and wellness at an early age, I devoted my entire career to unlocking human performance and potential. From leading sports marketing activations with RedBull to becoming a senior operations and marketing professional at a global boutique fitness brand and now, launching a venture brand to help entrepreneurs of diverse backgrounds propel their start-up into hyper-growth, I continue to place authentic human connection through physical and mental well-being at the heart of my work.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The most beautiful part of my journey is that it is incredibly non-linear. Throughout my career, I have faced several challenges of not meeting the standards of others. Whether I was too young, a woman, or of Asian descent, there have been situations in which my performance at work and the output of such was not enough. Times like these have certainly challenged me; not just in my profession, but also challenged my character. As I look back into these moments, I am thankful to have experienced them as such moments opened a window for growth, and I am also thankful for loved ones and mentors that helped me get through those experiences. Success is not something that is easily bestowed upon others, rather it is a continuous effort that we must all strive for.
