Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After my marriage ended unexpectantly, my life changed dramatically. I was left raising two young children alone, suffocating under more than one million dollars in debt on an educator’s salary, and living the day-to-day aftermath of self-doubt, self-blame, and self-defeat.
I felt lost and stuck. I had no idea how to move forward.
But I did have a choice: I could either stay stuck in my pain and misery, or I could allow God to help me pick up the pieces and start again.
I chose the latter, and my life has never been the same.
Today, I am a different person than I was before my marriage ended. I am stronger, wiser, and more resilient. I have learned to trust God more and to lean on His strength when life gets tough.
And best of all, I have found true purpose and fulfillment – something that eluded me for many years after my divorce, which is helping female entrepreneurs thrive in business and life. God inspired me to use what I already had learned, mastered, and loved doing which was systems building, strategic planning, and transformational coaching, to teach entrepreneurs – those who need a step-by-step system and framework to monetize their giftedness, greatness, and genius – to venture into business.
That is how my company, Relentless Pursuits Unlimited (RPU), was born – out of pain and a relentless passion for helping entrepreneurs achieve their goals and succeed in business and life.
Now, I teach women around the world to create businesses they love, have more control over their own life and career, and make an indelible difference in the world. I’m a multi-passionate entrepreneur, transformational speaker, and bestselling author. But more importantly, I’m living proof that God can take your mess and turn it into your message, your mission, and your legacy.
What started out as a simple desire to help women achieve their big dreams and goals has turned into an international movement of people who are ready to take their lives and businesses to the next level.
I am proof that it is never too late to start over after you’ve experienced a life-altering event and that you can design an impactful life that you love using what you already have learned and mastered!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey, my biggest struggle was having the confidence to step completely out in faith without a safety net. It was scary to take that leap, especially because I didn’t have any idea what I was doing! I knew my passion, but I didn’t know how to turn it into a sustainable business.
Another challenge I faced was learning how to wear so many hats as an entrepreneur. You have to be the creative visionary, the strategist, the salesperson, the marketer, the accountant…the list goes on. And you have to be good at all of it! I’m still learning and growing every day, but these challenges have made me into a stronger and more resilient business owner.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that you can’t do it all alone. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of strength. Building a strong team and support system is essential to success. I’m so grateful to have an amazing group of people around me who believe in me and my vision.
I also had two dynamic coaches who had already walked the path I was on and they helped me to see that it was possible to create a successful business without sacrificing my integrity or values and letting fear ruin my life. They showed me how to have faith in myself and my ability to create something beautiful and impactful.
Because of their guidance, I was able to find the courage to take that leap of faith and start my own business. And now, looking back, I am so grateful that I did! Not only has it allowed me to live a life of purpose and meaning, but it has also been a tremendous blessing to my family and others around me.
My entrepreneurial journey has not been easy, but it has been so worth it. I am so grateful for all the challenges and lessons I’ve learned along the way. These experiences have made me into the person I am today and I am so excited to see what the future holds!
