Today we’d like to introduce you to Ani Carol and Jasmin Mnasi from Kara content.
Hi Ani Carol, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Five years ago, I decided to quit my retail sales job to pursue my entrepreneurial dreams. I had just graduated from Woodbury University with a Major in Business Marketing & was working part-time as a Social Media Marketer. I used all my spare time building up my network by attending social events and watching training videos on how to create websites + UX/UI design. With the marketing world at a constant shift, it was important to keep up with the next new digital platform. Although it was time-consuming, I took on as much pro bono work as possible in order to take Kara Content to the next level.
Throughout my journey, I was fortunate to meet my co-founder, Jasmin Mnasi, an eager social media marketer and talented digital content creator.Jasmin and I shared creative vision and drive. Joining forces, we were able to better assist in tailoring business solutions to our clients. Now we’re fortunate enough to have our own business, which led us to build a community that is constantly looking out for each other.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Having quit our full time jobs to follow our entrepreneurial dreams was quite the struggle. Little did we know, we’d face added difficulties as women in a saturated industry. It took many long nights, some hard rejections, and networking our butts off to gain the client list that we do and the trust of many others. Today, Kara Content proudly services 40+ clients from the Greater Los Angeles area all the way to overseas. We have grown our team from 2 to 12 and we look forward to recruiting more like-minded, driven individuals. It’s never easy to make life-changing decisions but if you believe in yourself & surround yourself with like-minded individuals, it becomes that much easier.
