Hi Alia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi! My name is Alia Adel, I am a professional organizer based in Los Angeles,CA and owner and Founder of The Styled Stories. I started The Styled Stories in May 2020 after being unemployed for a year after getting laid off from my fashion job. I took that time to really figure out what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted to build something that was still creative and also fulfilling, I wanted to do something I loved that also helped people. I found that I was the happiest when I was helping my friends organize their homes and style their space and from there The Styled Stories was born.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely been a rollercoaster, but I’d be lying if I said I am not enjoying the ride!
One of the first obstacles I ran into was getting clients; starting a home organizing business in the middle of a pandemic where you couldn’t go into people’s homes wasn’t ideal. It took some time to get clients and have a consistent schedule, but once things started to ease and open up it all fell into place.
Another was trying to stay consistent and focused, it’s so easy to get pulled in every direction and try to do it all, but you learn that running your own business isn’t easy, and you sometimes have to readjust and shift and do what’s best for you and the business. When you start a business, you have to keep an open mind and be ready to shift and change as you go.

The Styled Stories is a professional organizing business based in Los Angeles, California. Designed to help busy people live an organized, stress-free life. The Styled Stories is all about finding calm in the midst of all the chaos and creating an environment inspired by you to help you fall in love with your space again.
The Styled Stories offers both Packages and A La Carte services. There is something for everyone.
One of The Styled Stories’ core values is connection, that’s what sets it apart from any other organizing business. I thrive on building a personal connection with all my clients. After all, I do spend so much time in their home, and nothing is more personal than your own home. This is also one of the things I’m most proud of, I’ve managed to build such a wonderful community, both clients and followers on Instagram, and it’s been such a beautiful thing to experience.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
This is a great question. Home organization has definitely become much more popular during the pandemic, especially because of The Home Edit on Netflix, so I don’t see it going away or dying down anytime soon. I am very curious what new organizing products will be trending and why. It’s always exciting to see new products and trends.
As for The Styled Stories, I see a team, some products and collaborations with The container store and who knows maybe even a TV show! I have big plans for The Styled Stories and I can’t wait to see them all come to life.
