Exploring Life & Business with Kim Garcia of Mama Earths Magic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Garcia.

Hi Kim, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Mama Earths Magic was created due to the love I hold for my community combined with my passion for herbalism stemming from my indigenous roots. For as long as I could remember, I’ve been fascinated by the beauty of Mother Nature and when I found out about the healing properties plants and herbs hold, I became even more intrigued and found myself reading book after book on holistic healing as well as putting it into practice in my daily life. To put it simply, I was feeling much better physically and mentally by incorporating herbs and superfoods like sea moss into my routine and wanted to share my experience with others. Through my own healing, I quickly became the person people came to for my knowledge on herbal remedies and realized this is the role I truly want to be for my community. Shortly after, I ended up learning about my indigenous roots and that’s when it all came together that this is exactly what I’m meant to be doing and why I’ve always felt such a pull to nature, spirituality and plant medicine. It all connects to who I am and where I come from and through that, Mama Earths Magic came to be. We are healing the community by reconnecting with Mother Earth and it is truly an honor to be on this journey.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an owner of a small business in its first year has come with its share of struggles but all in all, it has been more rewarding than anything. There have been a lot of nights I’ve spent after a shift at work getting into tiny details with things such as logo designs, label designs, creating a menu and recipe testing as I do everything on my own. It gets very tiring especially because it naturally comes with a lot of trial and error to take the vision you have in your head and turn it into a reality. It can also be a bit intimidating putting yourself out there especially in the very beginning of this journey because it comes with a lot of rejection but I’ve learned to use that to see what I can do better and grow from there. Overall, having the ability to grow while being able to give back to my community makes it all worth it in the end.

As you know, we’re big fans of Mama Earths Magic. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Mama Earths Magic is currently specializing in sea moss gels as well as cold-pressed juices infused with sea moss gels, but will soon be expanding our holistic offerings with products such as teas and tinctures as we continue to grow on our journey.

What sets us apart is that we work with local farmers and other small businesses to ensure the best quality produce and herbs and to also continue to tend to our mission of giving back to our community since farmers and small businesses are an integral part of our community. Everything is done with love and intention here.

As a brand, I’m proud of the fact that I’m learning more about myself and my indigenous roots and that I’m incorporating that in the work I offer to help others find their power through their own personal healing journey, whether that be physical or spiritual.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
