Daily Inspiration: Meet Sam Stokes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sam Stokes.

Sam Stokes

Hi Sam, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
One morning, I woke up and thought I’d like to live a life on Earth. It seems like a cool place. And it also seems like a place that needs a little reminding of love and hope.

So I thought I’d pop down in this girl Sam and try things out. See if I could help someone along the way.

It’s been a beautiful journey so far.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Earth is funny. It’s so easy everything here. It’s perfectly crafted. Food grows from the ground (for free!), and it rains on the soil to clean everything and water the plants (for free!)

The animals work together to keep the different environments clean, and they help each other in this beautiful, co-existing sort of way. They even help our bodies break down and return to the soil, which gives more life for the earth so it can grow more food.

We have these things called sunrises and sunsets that are the best entertainment you can get – and every night, it’s brand new!

The moon plays with its different shapes and brightness. When it’s full, it lights up a whole valley so you feel like you’re walking on another planet with no shadows.

It’s perfect, and yet sometimes we make it hard for ourselves. Why? I’m not sure. Maybe we think we’re undeserving of such bliss, so we make it difficult for ourselves because we believe it has to be difficult. We believe that “to live” is to feel “stress.”

But to me, it’s perfect. It’s designed that way. We just forget sometimes.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I primarily point my creative cannon toward the world of music. I was born with these ears that hear radio stations of incredible, angelic music that is inaudible for most people. So I try the best that I can to translate what I hear on the angelic radio waves and make it something for other people to hear.

It’s really a secretarial job. Just transcribing and allowing it to flow as easily and uninterrupted as possible.

However, in conjunction with music is sometimes receiving words – poetry. So as my debut album is set to release this fall, I have released a companion Poetry & Lyrics Book – called “Common Ground” available on Amazon in paperback format!

Who else deserves credit in your story?
The list is long, and I am grateful for every drop of support I have received along the way. It’s kind of peculiar because sometimes the greatest help or support has been from a stranger in a supermarket that I speak to for 10 minutes, and we don’t even exchange names.

Sometimes it feels like your heart has a burning desire, a specific question, and so you set out to ask the Universe for some guidance, and it appears as the bagger at the supermarket.

And at the same time, it’s about giving as much free love, guidance, and support to others when I’m out in the world. To open myself as a messenger so that if someone else has a question on their mind, I may best support and comfort them with whatever message they need to hear.
