Today we’d like to introduce you to Kierra Murrell.
Kierra, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My first introduction to real estate was my Mother who worked as an underwriter. I always had an entrepreneur spirit, but never knew what type of business I wanted to be in until I began working at a furniture store when I was 19. Through that job, I realized I had a passion for helping people and housing alike. I soon after began classes to pursue my real estate license while I was still in college.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been anything but smooth. Entering an industry that is white male-dominated as a young black woman has been difficult.
The struggles varied as I began, from not being taken seriously due to my age, to dealing with racism in certain areas.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
