Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Fletcher.
Jeremy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was a star athlete in school and popular. But I always wanted to make something of myself and on that journey, I figured out I had to work harder than the average person and that things was not going to be as easy for me. Coming from a small town in Georgia, called Barnesville all the odds was stacked against me. You very rarely find anyone, let alone a black man that is able to make it out of there successful. With that being said, I did not want to become another statistic so I made a conscious decision to be better than what I saw. I never had many people to look up to or to teach me so a lot of decisions I made came from that sentiment, which is why I created my clothing company. I moved to LA from Georgia in 2020 with the mindset of building a future for me and my family. I intend on doing that by consistently growing as a businessman and enhancing the live of myself and others around me by teaching them what I have learned on my journey and that is ownership. I own my company, no investors, no help just me build from the ground up after tired of working 9-5 jobs. There is a lot of work that has to be done but I’m proud of myself for what I have been able to accomplish with the tools I was given. I am also passionate about music as well and will be incorporating that as a part of my career.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A lot of my obstacles have been self-inflicted, honestly I was never taught to listen simply because I didn’t have a lot of people giving direction. So now as an adult, I had to learn how to take direction and apply it. It’s one thing to say it, it’s another to do it. That sentiment has been one of the things holding me back from success. I am learning and growing, but in order to become better you have to recognize that there is a problem and fix it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Sportswear Fashion Designer/ Music Artist / Owner of Brand Stacking 4 Generations
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Still learning… and growing.
