Today we’d like to introduce you to Dustin Vraneza.
Hi Dustin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m 26 years old, I was born and raised in the City of Riverside, CA and now live in Newport Beach, CA. I started my culinary journey right out of high school. I did my culinary schooling at Riverside Community College. I got my first ever job at Cal Baptist University as a grill cook and ran the opening team. I worked there for two years and after leaving, I went to work at Carthay Circle in California Adventure (Disneyland). From there, I moved on to The Mission Inn Hotel and Spa in Riverside, CA. I then took the biggest step in my career and left my full-time job and started doing my business full time. I was nervous at first, however it has been the greatest decision I have ever made.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
While working a full-time job and trying a juggle my private events along with still working in the restaurant industry was extremely hard. With covid-19 happening, it gave me some time to get my business organized. I didn’t know what the restaurant industry was going to be after or if there was ever going to be a thing called “normal” again. As the popular picnic setting started to become the new normal, I reached out and start to bring my Style of the Chef table to the comfort of picnics along the California Coast, parks, backyards, along with micro weddings.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Private Chef, I specialize in bringing the 5 Star Chef Table experience to the comfort to your home, wedding, or Picnic. With every experience, I provide a personalized keepsake menu. I’m known for my Deluxe Surf & Turf (Filet Mignon, Colossal Shrimp, Lobster Tail) fluffy Creamy Truffle Mash Potatoes, with a bordelaise sauce. Ending it with 24kg Cheesecake with a wild berry bourbon sauce or a 24kg Strawberry Short Cake with homemade whipped cream.
How do you think about luck?
Just staying positive in every situation. From taking the biggest step in my business career and leaving my full-time job where knowing there was always a paycheck coming in every two weeks and moving to Newport Beach. Believing in myself and surrounding myself around like-minded people with an entrepreneur mindset, having supportive family and friends has helped. When I left my job, I didn’t know what was going to happen, but with networking and staying positive, turned out to be the best decision I have ever made.
